Book a Field Review
Start with one field. See the numbers for yourself.
A Triplex field review is a practical, on-farm look at where nitrogen is being used — and where it’s being lost.
There’s no obligation to change anything.
The aim is simply to put real numbers on what’s happening in one field.
A Triplex field review helps you see where nitrogen is being lost — before spending another pound on fertiliser.
-
What it is
A field-by-field nitrogen efficiency review
Based on soil, crop and real data
Focused on £/ha and kg N/ha, not theory
Designed to highlight where losses occur
What it is not
A sales pitch
A yield promise
A fertiliser upsell
Most farmers use it to answer one question:
“Am I paying for nitrogen my crop can’t use?”
-
1. We look at the field
We review:
Crop and target (yield or protein)
Soil type and variability
Previous cropping
Fertiliser history
Known problem areas
2. Soil nitrogen is properly accounted for
We look at:
Soil Mineral Nitrogen (SMN)
Soil Nitrogen Supply (SNS)
Soil type and rainfall effects
This often reveals more nitrogen than expected.
3. Total nitrogen is calculated
We combine:
Nitrogen applied
Nitrogen supplied by the soil
This shows total nitrogen available to the crop.
4. Losses are shown in real terms
Instead of percentages, we show:
kg of nitrogen likely being lost
£ per hectare that may be wasted
This is usually the “lightbulb moment”.
5. You decide what to do next
Options might include:
Leaving things as they are
Adjusting rates to remove excess
Improving efficiency using Triplex
There’s no pressure to proceed.
-
Starting small means:
No whole-farm commitment
Low risk
Clear comparison
Real confidence in the numbers
Many growers trial Triplex on:
A high-input field
A variable field
Milling wheat
A field near water
-
Consultation cost: £250
Time required: ~½ day on farm
What you get: Clear numbers, not assumptions
If Triplex isn’t right for that field, we’ll say so.
-
A Triplex field review is ideal if you:
Run moderate to high nitrogen inputs
Want to reduce waste without risking yield
Are you questioning fertiliser value
Prefer evidence over opinion
