Triplex Maize-Start is tailored to overcome the nutrient bottlenecks that occur in newly drilled maize; which is notoriously slow at root development, especially in cold, wet spring soils. The phosphate in Triplex Maize-Start is placed close to the seed and readily available providing immediate energy for early root growth and the transition into active growth. 

The bulk of a maize crop’s nitrogen requirement is much later on but Triplex Maize-Start provides enough to promote rapid canopy growth to optimise light interception for photosynthesis to build yield potential – the added magnesium & manganese ensures rapid greening of leaves. 

Maize is highly sensitive to zinc deficiency. Zinc is critical for early enzyme production and root elongation. In the UK, high soil pH or high background phosphorus levels can lock up native soil zinc so Triplex Maize-Start has zinc to overcome this.
